1. Natural Density filter
#Travel_photography #Photography_Accessories
Natural Density have a variety of price on the market, but most of it is very expensive and sometimes hard to find in the small city. you need to carry this item on your travel bag. But if the price is to expensive. This is an old hack, but very useful one nonetheless you can do. You may consider to replace ND filter with less than $5 welding glass that you can get in market around your city town. This welding glass had a similar function as the the ND filter, to block sunlight and coincidentally.

2. Polarized Filter
How many times you meet a wonderful landscape in your traveling trip, and when you are take a shoot of it, you find to many-many thing that obeying. once of it is over highlight exposure. or to much Bright on the sky, and because the digital camera had a limited exposure balance range, it will be hard to find the right setting. In this situation, a polarized filter would be a good option to be choose. So, remember to put this on your accessories list if you are plan to traveling for an adventure trip or the travel that you possibly found nature or landscape object.

3. Ultraviolet (UV) Filter
This UV filter has main purpose is to reject counteracting the bias light that possibly ruin your images in time you have to directly face the lighting sources. but, this filter is more than that. if you ever do shoot around a waterfall or a little dusty, you will find the lenses are being contaminated by water or dust particles that will soon meet the cross section of the lens.  and its better to clean up the particles from you UV filter rather than you have to do it on your lenses. UV also protects from other objects directly touched the lens.

4. Lens Hood
Trust me, you will need this accessories when you are doing travel photography.

5. Filter Case/bag
Filter is sensitive, you need a special case to place it securely. but you don't have to worries about the storage space, There are two type of Filter Case that I recommend to save the space.
Single attachable filter case

Wallet multi filter case

Its will save a space even you brought more than three filter

6. Macro Extension Tubes
If you're going to do macro photography, a lot of photographer will probably thinking to pack an extra lens before set out on their trip. A macro lens is little bit bigger than normal lens and it's also expensive. you also need a lager space to carry it. why didn't you try this alternative by using simple extension tube. It works, for sure.  the extension tube work by increasing the distance between the lens and the sensor, thus giving you a closer minimum focusing range. Because it has no glass, it means you lose no image quality.

7. Lens Extenders
Lens extender maybe similar with macro extender, but its extremely different. lens extender is to double zoom of your lenses. in example, if you have 70-200mm lens, than it equal to you have 140-400mm lens. than you wouldn't necessary to carry out more lenses. you just need to bought two kind of lens, Standard (KIT) Lens and 100-300mm or you can bought lens that have wide range of focal length, such as 18-250mm lens. and bought 2x extender lens.

8. Lens and body Cap
To save storage space, you need to detached you camera body with it lens, or when you are replace a lens to other, you need to protect the unused lens with lens cap and body cap

9. Tripod & Monopod
You don't need to carry a big size of tripod, or mono-pod, you just need a simple two in one camera holder such as tripod and mono-pod in one. remember to recognize maximum weight of your camera when using an accessories. than use the tripod with capacity that closely above the maximum weight. in example, if your camera and accessories maximum weight is 2,55 kilogram, it will be better to use 3 kg of tripod capacity.

10. Ballpod

This item is additional if you are traveling in extreme landmark which is it hard to find flat surface to put your camera. ball-pod ha the ability to it.you can put your camera any surface condition.

11. Trigger/shutter release
Shutter release are required if you are going to take steady stand picture, such as low-light shooting, or time-lapse picture. this accessories will be very useful

12. Additional Battery
Additional battery is important to ensure your photography session isn't disturb by loose of energy. Some time, Energy sources to recharge your battery isn't always available in the trip that you intended. It is good to prepare one additional battery in your travel photography trip.

13. Slim memory card case
Memory storage is one of the most important stuff that you have to ensure for. one photographer will carry more than one memory card. It size that so small make it vulnerable missing. maybe loosing empty memory card is fine, but loosing  memory that contain our pictures will be smothering. so, on this case, using memory case would be a wise option.  better to choose memory case that contain more with smaller space required.

14. EyeFi Wi-Fi Memory Cards
Most new Digital SLRs have built in Wi-Fi, But not all of the travel photographers are upgrade their device in every two years. So what can you do if you still want to download your photos onto your mobile device? Use a Wi-Fi memory card. They're not that more expensive than regular memory cards, but they get the job done just as well as a built in system. consider to add this as option on your budged.

15. Adjustable Mini Flash
Lighting, Photography is about play with lighting. natural lighting need to be supported by artificial lighting. but carrying an artificial lighting are very burdensome. including a flash. camera internal flash often destruct the picture rather than make good. so i suggest you to carry out mini flash  adjustable flashing direction. it will help you to gain better picture.

16. Cleaning tissue
Cleaning a sensitive surface such as lens surface must use appropriate tools. once you make a scratch in lens, it will affect to the image result. in a travel photography that you are going to, there will be lot of mater that can be littering your lens. Lens cleaning tissue are important to be carried. to clean lens or even filter and camera display.

17. Crop vs. Full Frame
People began to obsess with the presence of a full frame camera, the are obsess about how cool full frame cameras are, how APS-C sensors have so mny disadvantages. First of all, the difference is a lot less noticeable than it was 2-3 years ago. Crop sensors have great image quality and the latest cameras have amazing low light capabilities. Second, a crop sensor camera can actually be better for a travel photographer. They are usually smaller and the 1.5 or 1.6 crop factor will add significant focal length to your telephoto lens.

Digital Photography Tips ; THE RIGHT TIME TO CHOOSE IDEAL PROGRAMED MODE ON YOUR CAMERA

This article are presented for a beginner and moderate photographer. for beginner of course this is new information and for moderate or intermediate, this articles are for discussion and regulate the perception in the topic of THE RIGHT TIME TO CHOOSE IDEAL PROGRAMMED MODE ON YOUR CAMERA.
Almost in all type of digital camera, even it a compact camera or digital SLR camera has always offering four exposure mode option plus one full automatic mode option (commonly marked with green box symbol) where the camera will arrange everything for the best result in the parameter of censor even likely it is different with what we wanted. that why we have to choose exposure programmed mode that most ideal with our needs. so when is the right time to choose an ideal programmed mode?

READ ALSO: History of Camera from Obscura to DSLR (Do you sure you know?)

As mentioned above, there are for programmed mod beside the fully automatic mode.
  • P program mode
  • A program mode
  • S program mode
  • M program mode
When we have to choose P program mode?
on the P program mode, camera will take the most ideal combination in determination of the camera parameter between Shutter speed and diaphragm to gain the best of image quality result in more than 90% of shooting condition. only in the extreme condition such as back-lighting subject, totally black or white background that we need a little of intervention such as giving an exposure compensation. all can be set in P program mode. in all latest digital camera already have shift mode wee adjust the shutter combination -exposure are set by camera such as we choose diaphragm opening in f.2.8 or f.4 in model photo session.so the background shown more soft or we can choose diaphragm in f.11 or even f.16 to gain a wider focus range in landscape photography. P program mode is the option if we want to take a picture but did not want to be annoying by any of camera control setting but requiring a consistent superfine image result.

When we have to choose P program mode?
Even the camera still control major of exposure value, as a photographer we are expected to choose diaphragm option in A program mode or called Av (Aperture value) mode.  As the explanation above, diaphragm setting is determine the depth of field outcome of our picture. That is why we have to select diaphragm value to get the final result of our picture as we wanted. Wide opening of diaphragm is to gain image with a narrow focus area or narrow depth of field, and small opening to gain a wide focus area or wider depth of field. I used to use A program mode when i need to control how is the final photo views are looks like.

When we have to choose S program mode?
S program mode is about control your shutter speed. this mode are likely chooses in the sport photography where the photographer requiring a sharp image result at all the time. in example if we are required to freeze high speed object you will require high shutter speed around f.1/500 or above. S program mode also used for taking a photo of waterfall where the photographer need a motion image result (panning technique).   in this mode, our shutter speed are set in f.1/10 to f.1/50 to gain motion images.
In S program mode, we are control shutter speed and other parameter will be arrange by the camera to gain the most ideal exposure of image result.
Things to note in this mode is the shutter speed limits that we use are at highest aperture diaphragm limits of our camera. in example, in one condition our diaphragm of camera limit is f.2.8 in 1/600 of shutter speed, it is mean the maximum shutter speed that we set is under the value or equal to the maximum speed limit.

When we have to choose M program mode?
this mode is fully manual mode, this option chooses if you need to have a control of all parameter and control in the camera. Usually, M program mode used in the studio photo session where all things are steady and fixed. including shutter speed and diaphragm are set fixed.

notes:
In the photography, all theory is just a method of approach. and in this article, this is just a theory which described the approach most commonly used. still needed exploration of its own by the photographer to get a sense in determining the most appropriate settings for yourself. keep doing exploration and experimentation to hone your ability to do this hobby. because without trial and experience, photography that you do it will mean nothing.

Play on black and white photos

Do You like Black and white photos? do you like Greyscale photograph? for sure most of you will answer "yes I do" what kind of black and white you like? what kind of Black and white photos did you know? why did you like black and white photos? this question is basic reason that you have to answer before you do a black and white photos. that is my spiritual teacher says.
In traditional analog photography, black and white define as image and color range in shades of grayscale, from black to white. Generally , an image like this usually have a dense black color engaged in the gray scale leading to the white.in a pre-press or printing offset, balck and white photos consists of black ink and paper tone and in the digital photography, the images wil have a dense black area which is number of RGB color is in 0,0,0 adn engaged to grey area leading to pure white with number of RGB is 255,255,255. More better and more accurate the description of a traditional photo, chromatic, black and white mentioned in a greyscale, more accurate the deffinition of black and white images mentioned as chromatic greyscale
